Changing Second Professions? - Guild Wars Forums

hey,
I have heard that later on in the game you can change your second profession, however i'm not sure weather you do this in factions or prophcies. I have both and want to change from A/N to A/W.

Anyone know how?

You can change once you get to Senji's Corner in Factions. It's right after Nahpui Quarters. You have to pay 500 gold, but it's a one time fee; every time after that is free. Prophecies also has secondary changing, except you have to finish quests first after ascending in the Crystal Desert.

You can change your secondry profession after you ascend in the Crystal Desert in Tyria. The quest to allow you to change profession are located at

Seekers Passage
Heros Audience
Destinys Gorge

It's possible to do it in Canthan to but i don't play Factions so i'll leave that for someone else.

If you mean Faction, when you change your secondary you get some skills with it. In prophecies, in other side, you doesn't receive any skills except all those who gor during the Pre-Searing but it free and gain experience.

Another note, if you want to change to your ancient secondary profession, you will gain all your skills you have unlocked with that Character. In senji Corner, you have not the one Time fee if you have unlocked the secondary profession in prophecies (example: you have unlocked Warrior as Sec with you char, you change it, return to your ancient sec prof, Go to Senji Corner and when you select Warrior profession, no cost fee.)

So if i get this right i can do with my pre-searing character to that factions town and change my second profession there to a factions profession?

I don't think this is possible, as to take a pre-sear Prophecy character to Factions, you need to complete a quest given by Mehenlo in Lions Arch, so taking a pre-searing character into Cantha is probably impossible.

Yes I know the character was "created" in pre searing = standard guildwars, but has already done canthan missions

Yes, you can go to Senji with any character to change professions.

Ah- misundserstood the question, sorry. Yes you are correct. Once you get your Prophecy char to Senji's Corner it will simply cost you 500g to change secondary to a new one. This is a one time payment for each profession, and once you have paid for each one you can then swap between them for free.
